Homemade Papaya | Pawpaw Recipe

’Adiba’ the Ewe name for Papaya / PawPaw is used in making this skin nourishing, gut friendly homemade Ice Cream recipe.

*Papayas are rich in Vitamins A, C and E and do contain high levels of antioxidants.
The high level of antioxidants prevents the oxidation of cholesterol hence reduces the risks of heart diseases.

Papaya is also rich in folic acid , helps boost ones immune system, high in fibre and reduces inflammation of one’s digestive system.

Papaya also contains Copper, Magnesium and Potassium. With all the above benefits Papaya/PawPaw qualifies as my super fruit.

Yogurt contains Calcium which is necessary for bones and teeth

B Vitamins which helps the heart

Yoghurt is rich in Protein which supports one’s metabolism as it keeps you fuller for longer, (particularly Greek Yogurt).

Live yoghurt contains effective probiotics which lessens the uncomfortable symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Probiotics found in Live Yoghurt also helps reduce inflammation of the body

Yogurt contains high immune boosting properties due to the presence of magnesium, selenium and zinc.

With the above benefits of the 2 key ingredients I present my homemade Papaya/ PawPaw Ice Cream recipe

1 large Papaya

2 cups of all natural Yoghurt

Zest of 2 Limes
